ATJustice

Pricing & the fixed-price self-check

Most estate plans qualify for ATJustice's standard fixed price. Some situations call for a closer look from your attorney first. Here's how to tell which applies to you — and what it means if yours does.

The fixed-price plan

For most people, a complete estate plan through ATJustice costs a flat $650 for individuals and $850 for couples — no hidden fees, no hourly billing. This covers your guided intake, your attorney's review, a consultation to confirm your wishes, and your finished documents.

Quick self-check

This is a quick way to get a sense of your situation before you start — not a final determination. Your attorney will confirm what actually applies to you during your consultation. If any of the following describe your situation, it's worth knowing ahead of time:

  • You or your spouse have children from a previous relationship

  • One of your beneficiaries has a disability that could affect how they receive or manage an inheritance

  • You own all or part of a business

  • You own real estate in more than one state, or outside the U.S.

  • Your total assets exceed $15 million (or $30 million for a couple) — not counting retirement accounts and life insurance

  • You want to place conditions or restrictions on how or when a beneficiary receives their inheritance

  • You want to leave different amounts to people in the same family group — for example, more to one child than another

  • You already have an estate plan that needs review or updating, or you started one before and never finished it

  • You want to leave a share of your estate to a charity (rather than a specific dollar amount)

  • Your beneficiary designations haven't been reviewed recently — on life insurance, retirement accounts, or other non-will assets

What this means for you

If one or more of these applies to you, it doesn't mean you're ineligible for the fixed-price plan. It means your situation is worth a conversation with an estate planning attorney, who can walk through the risks in your specific situation and discuss ways to address them as part of building the right plan for you. Many people in this situation still end up with the standard $650/$850 fixed-price plan.

That first conversation — a discovery call with your attorney — is free. If your attorney determines your situation needs more than the standard plan, they'll explain what's involved and what it would cost, whether that's a shorter, more affordable strategy session to think through a specific issue, or a fully custom plan billed at a rate discounted from your attorney's standard rates by the use of ATJustice's automated intake system. Either way, you won't be charged for anything until you complete the free discovery call and decide to move forward.
